During its May 8 meeting, the Kendall County Commissioners Court voted to create the Kendall County Public Safety Corporation with the purpose of aiding, assisting, and acting on behalf of Kendall County in the performance of its governmental functions to promote the common good, general welfare, and public safety of the County.

The Boerne High boys golf team wrapped up its season at the 4A state tournament held Monday and Tuesday with a fifth-place showing at the Legends Golf Course, while one of the Greyhounds earned an individual bronze medal.

Phoenix Guerra represented the Boerne Champion golf program at this year’s 5A state tournament in Georgetown on Monday and Tuesday.

Boerne High senior Chloe O’Connor was recently named the Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 4A-6A Team Tennis Athlete of the Year.

The annual Boerne Champion spring football game was held May 17 before a capacity crowd at Charger Field.

COMFORT – Longtime assistant Jay Rieken has been named as Comfort High’s new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.

Grant Gaston has been named Geneva School of Boerne’s new Head Varsity Football Coach and Program Director. He comes to Geneva from Grace Community School in Tyler which is a TAPPS Division II school that went 8-2 this year.

Boerne High’s Che Hendrix has been selected to be one of the two head coaches for the 2024 San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, in the Alamodome.

Several BISD athletes compete in boys, girls games

The Geneva School of Boerne had several athletes in various spring sports named to the TAPPS Academic All-State Team.
