Boerne High’s Che Hendrix has been selected to be one of the two head coaches for the 2024 San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, in the Alamodome.
Hendrix and the rest of the Greyhound staff will lead Team Black against Team Gold, led by Madison’s Blaine Pederson as was recently announced.
The annual game is a showcase for the top local seniors from the greater San Antonio area to play one last high school game before their peers. Rosters for the teams will be selected later in the year and last year’s game featured 54 players who signed to play in college, according to the San Antonio Sports website.
Hendrix has been with Boerne High since 2018 and has won 50 games in those five years, including four district championships.
This past fall, Hendrix and the rest of the staff led the Greyhounds to the 4A DI state championship game where they finished as state runner-up.
