Boerne High opened its 2023 girls soccer season by participating in the Northside ISD Showcase Tournament where they won all three matches played.

The Geneva School of Boerne girls soccer team played in the Longhorn Showcase Tournament last weekend where they went undefeated at the event.

Both the Comfort boys and girls basketball teams fought through the painful loss of one of their classmates as they took to the court last Friday night Junior Manny Breceda, a manager for the boys basketball team and a band member, was found dead early Wednesday morning of an apparent seizure attack. He had seizure issues recently.

The cardiac Chargers were at it again on Friday night when the Champion girls basketball team hosted Pieper in 26-5A action.

Boerne High improved to 2-0 in district play after the Greyhounds defeated Navarro at home last Friday in boys basketball action.

Pieper played well against the Boerne Champion boys basketball team but the Chargers still came out on top during Friday’s district contest.

The Boerne High girls basketball team was on the road Friday night for a district contest against Navarro and took control of the 27-4A contest from the opening tip.

The No. 2 stateranked Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team rolled to a big win over Holy Cross on Friday night.
