Q: I grew up in a very dysfunctional home. My parents hurt me in many ways. But now they’re aging and losing the ability to look after themselves. Given the past, I’m not sure how I feel about caring for them. What’s my obligation here?

BPD officer who fatally shot man won’t face charges

Boerne police officer Cpl. Cheyenne Weber, who fatally shot 41-year-old Brandon Cruz in February, will not face any criminal charges in Kendall County after the grand jury met earlier this month and opted not to move forward in the case.

Geneva senior receives DAR Good Citizen award

Geneva School of Boerne Class of 2022 graduate Nicolas Siller received the Good Citizen Award from the George R. Kendall Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. He was selected for his qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism and received a $1,000 scholarship as well as a Good Citizen pin.
