The Boerne Champion boys soccer team picked up its second shutout of the young season after they kept Madison off the board Friday night in a non-district match.
Champion beat the Mavericks 3-0 and is still unbeaten this year at 2-0-1 with both victories coming via the shutout. In their other match, they only gave up one goal in a 1-1 tie to Kennedy.
The Chargers were home this week for two more matches as they’ll play their entire non-district schedule at home this year. They tangled with Antonian early in the week and host McCollum on Friday.
In Friday’s match, Crew Pulliam, Bentley McCool and Jones Ferguson all netted 1 goal each, while McCool and Grayson Moran both tallied 1 assist apiece.
