The Geneva School of Boerne boys basketball team was in Corpus Christi last weekend for a couple of games and split the two.
The Eagles beat CC John Paul II on Friday and then lost to CC Incarnate Word on Saturday. They are 13-11 overall and 2-3 in district.
The Eagles fell to Incarnate Word of Corpus Christi in a close one, 48-45.
Geneva won the first two quarters and then tied in the third, but the Angels came back in the fourth and rallied past the Eagles.
Geneva was winning 38-33 after three quarters, but was outscored in the final period, 15-7, to fall by three points.
Geneva’s last lead was 43-42 but the Angels outscored them down the stretch, 6-2, to seal the victory.
In the game against Corpus Christi John Paul II, Geneva won in a raucous atmosphere 50-43 over the Guardians.
