It was a rough start to district play for the Boerne High volleyball team that visited Davenport to kick off 27-4A action Friday night.

After a last- minute change, Champion switched its venue with Veterans Memorial to open district play at home Friday instead of playing on the road as the schedule originally had it.

Boerne ISD varsity tennis teams played non-district matches Friday afternoon at home.

Geneva School of Boerne was finally able to play a game at home Friday when the Eagles hosted La Pryor and the home team used a fast start to defeat the Bulldogs, 35-12.

The Boerne Champion Chargers scored early and often at Canyon Lake and then overcame sloppy play, personal fouls calls and a brief attempt at a comeback to remain undefeated on the season with a convincing 42-21win Friday.

The varsity tennis teams from Boerne High and Boerne Champion were in action Wednesday with the Greyhounds on the road and the Chargers at home.

Boerne High went toe to toe with the Ingram Tom Moore volleyball team Tuesday night in Ingram and the match went a full five sets before a winner was determined.

The Geneva School of Boerne volleyball team was on the road on Tuesday and swept Harper.
