The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team improved to 6-2 after the Eagles defeated Vanguard College Prep last Monday, 73-28.
Geneva was off the rest of the week and took an 8-day break for Thanksgiving before returning to the court Tuesday at Austin Regents.
Maegan Riebel continues to carve up opponents and tallied 27 points in Monday’s game on 10 of 18 shooting.
Payton Boles added 12 points, Lindsay Lee scored 8, Madeline Egbert finished with 5, Bethany DeLuna, Kyra Petty, Morgan Howard and Grace Detterick all netted 4 points, while Suzie Nilsson and Sopris Oglesby both chipped in with 2 points as 10 different Geneva players scored in the game.
Petty added 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 7 steals to her totals, while Riebel dished out 4 assists and came up with 5 steals.
Boys
The Geneva boys also tangled with Vanguard from Waco and won the game 59-47 to improve to 5-2 this year.
After an eight-day break, the Geneva boys were back in action Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. Mary’s Hall.
