The Boerne High girls stayed perfect this year after the Lady Greyhounds basketball team won its last two games.
BHS took on Highlands and Warren before the Thanksgiving break and won both to improve to 9-0 this year.
The Lady Greyhounds hosted Sam Houston Tuesday and will play in the Georgetown Tournament this coming weekend.
Vs. Highlands
Boerne was at Highlands Monday and hammered the Owls, 81-13.
The Boerne girls held Highlands to 1, 2 and 1 points through the first three quarters before the Owls tallied 9 in the final stanza.
BHS netted 15, 23, 19 and 24 in the four periods to roll to an easy win.
The Lady Hounds had four in double digits after Chloe Donnell led the team with 18 points, Abby Smith added 14, Jenna Ruede scored 13 and Meredith McCloud finished with 10.
Averi Aaron was two points away from double digits and hit for 8, Mickena Randle and Addison Palluch finished with 7 points each, while Savannah Salinas and Shelbie Porter both netted 2.
Vs. Warren
Boerne was at home last Tuesday to take on Warren and they beat the 6A Lady Warriors, 59-17.
The Lady Hounds doubled up Warren in the first, 19-8, and then took a 30-13 lead into halftime after winning the second stanza, 11-5.
Averi Aaron left with an injury but even without Aaron, Warren didn’t score a single point in the third, while Boerne scored 14 to open up a 44-13 lead by the end of the period.
BHS closed it out by winning the fourth quarter, 15-4.
Chloe Donnell led the Lady Hounds with 14 points, Meredith McCloud added 10, Savannah Salinas and Aaron both tallied 7, Abby Smith netted 6, while Jenna Ruede, Addison Palluch and Shelbie Porter all chipped in with 5 points.
