Boerne High’s Rashawn Galloway has always been a thorn in the side of Fredericksburg regardless of the sport and the senior did it one more time when the Greyhound baseball team visited the Battlin’ Billies on Tuesday.
Before this season, the Champion baseball team only had one head coach in its history but all that changed when Chuck Foster retired at the end of the last school year.
Geneva School of Boerne saved its best for last in Monday’s softball game against Providence.
The Boerne High track and field teams were at Area competition this week in Cuero but before that, the Greyhounds competed at district at Canyon Lake where they did very well.
A trio of Boerne fishermen cleaned up at the recent Border Bass Battle fishing tournament at Lake Amistad near Del Rio.
Boerne Champion had a total of six basketball players named to one of the girls All-District 26-5A teams.
The Champion cheerleaders had a great year supporting Charger athletics. They recently traveled to Fort Worth to compete in the UIL Spirit State Championships.
With less than two weeks left in the regular season, every win is a key win for the Champion baseball team as they head down the stretch fighting for a playoff spot.
