Softball season starts this week for area teams

Softball season will kick off this week for several area teams.

It may only be the first week of the season but Champion will host a district game for its 2022 opener on Tuesday when they welcome New Braunfels

Canyon for a 7 p.m. contest.

After that, the Chargers play in the Kerrville Tivy tournament this coming weekend.

Boerne High is on the road for its first game on Tuesday. The Lady Greyhounds visit East Central for a 7 p.m. contest on Tuesday.

After that, BHS is entered in the Bryan/College Station Tournament this coming weekend.

Comfort opened its softball season Monday when the Deer hosted Junction. After that, Comfort is in the Junction tournament this coming weekend.

Geneva School of Boerne rebooted its softball program a few years ago and will begin its season in March.
