The Champion baseball team was facing Wagner on Friday for the second time in a week and while the Chargers rolled past the Thunderbirds in the first game last Tuesday, 13-0, things got a lot tougher in last Friday’s second meeting.

The softball teams from Boerne Champion and Kerrville Tivy were engaged in a defensive struggle last Thursday when the Hill Country rivals met for a district game at Antler Field.

Boerne High opened district 27-4A softball action last Friday afternoon in Bandera and breeze by the Bulldogs, 14-0, in five innings of work.

Two Boerne High defensive football players were named to the Texas High School Football magazine’s 4A All-Texas Team.
