The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. 4:54 a.m., 100 Blk Old San Antonio – A caller reported a vehicle on the side of road with the driver repeatedly getting it and out of the vehicle and throwing his hands up in the air. The driver left his vehicle and began walking up the road.
7:09 a.m., 100 Blk City Lake - An employee reported that he had been informed a large group was coming to the lake with jet skis (which are not permitted on the lake).
10:22 a.m., 542 MM I-10 – A two-vehicle accident occurred on the interstate. No injuries were reported but one the lanes of the interstate was temporarily closed.
2:12 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – A woman was detained after being pulled over for a routine traffic stop.
2:58 p.m., 900 Blk River – A woman called in wanting to report a case of identity theft.
4:07 p.m., 200 Blk Clear Sky – A caller reported that three passports and other identification had been stolen from the caller’s vehicle.
MARCH 16
10:46 a.m., 1300 Blk S Main – An employee was reporting an adult male who attempted to shoplift.
11:10 a.m., 700 Blk N Main – A woman reported that the glass front door to her business was shattered during the night.
1:01 p.m., 1300 S Main – A caller reported that his vehicle’s door handle was damaged when he was inside the store.
3:00 p.m., 32000 Blk W I-10 – A vehicle slid off the road and hit a vehicle in the parking lot. The were luckily no injuries but one the vehicles required a tow truck.
3:52 p.m., 100 Blk City Lake – A caller reported two vehicles that had gone through a usually restricted area. The caller was not sure if the occupants of the vehicles has taken down the chain, or if the chain was already down. Law enforcement made contact with the vehicles’ occupants and they were instructed to move to the parking lot.
MARCH 17
12:08 a.m., 1300 Blk S Main – A caller reported that a coworker borrowed her car earlier that evening and had not returned it. The caller suspected the coworker had stolen her vehicle.
9:40 a.m., 200 Blk Jordan Place – A caller reported their vehicle had been stolen overnight. The caller told dispatch that the vehicle’s location was pinging in San Antonio.
10:35 a.m., 100 Blk Herff – A vehicle was reported to have the door open, with no one around the vehicle. The caller reported there was a purse visible inside the vehicle.
12:39 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – An employee reported that a male and female had stolen a cart full of clothing items the prior day.
3:46 p.m., 34000 W I-10 – An employee reported that a vehicle on site had been broken into via a busted- out window on the driver side. Luckily, the incident was captured on security cameras.
6:15 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera Rd – A caller reported that a male had attempted to steal items that were over $100 in value. The male fled and drove off before the employees were able to stop him.
MARCH 18
12:20 a.m., 1200 Blk S Main – A male came to the front desk asking for the location’s Wi-Fi password, claiming to be a client. However, the caller had seen the male hiding out behind the shed. The caller also informed dispatch that he had seen the male looking into vehicles in the parking lot.
9:11 a.m., 100 Blk Bluebonnet Circle – A puppy was reported to be left outside overnight in the rain, and was still chained up. Animal Control was contacted.
9:24 a.m., 100 Blk Side Winder – A caller reported a van that had been parked in the residential cul-de-sac for at least 30 minutes without any having exited the vehicle.
12:12 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera – An employee reported a woman panhandling between local businesses. The employee requested law enforcement assistance in removing them from the property.
7:45 pm., 542 MM W I-10 – A caller reported two sports cars that appeared to be racing on the interstate.
MARCH 19
2:41 a.m., 300 Blk Ebner – A caller reported seeing a reflection on his back window. The caller explained he saw a female, with mace in her hand, speaking with a male. The caller additionally reported seeing a red light emitting from the female’s front door. Law enforcement search the area and found no suspicious activity.
1:58 p.m., 100 Blk Medical – A caller reported that her ex-husband’s wife was harassing her through email.
2:39 p.m., 34000 Blk W I-10 – An employee reported a caller who had checked out but left several items in his room, including bullets.
3:53 p.m., 100 Blk City Park – A caller reported two to three boxes of promiscuous VHS tapes had been left by the soccer fields.
6:03 p.m., 100 Blk Hampton Way – A resident reported two men attempted to kick down her front door the prior night. The resident had captured the whole thing on video.
7:34 p.m., 400 Blk W Bandera – A caller reported that a coworker stole over $100 from another coworker the prior evening. The incident had been caught on video but an official police report was needed.
MARCH 20
12:04 a.m., 5399 MM E I-10 – A vehicle without a license plate was pulled over for a traffic stop. Law enforcement began a probably cause search and the individual was subsequently
detained.
4:08 a.m., 34000 Blk W I-10 – A male was reported to be walking around a parking lot by himself, yelling. The caller noted to dispatch that the male had gotten off a phone call right before the walking and yelling began. The male got in his car and drove away.
8:12 a.m., 800 Blk Johns Rd – A caller reported their pickup truck had been stolen. Initially, they thought it may have been towed but the tow company denied having possession of the vehicle.
9:24 a.m., 100 Blk W Hwy 46 – A driver reported that a cement truck in front of them was on fire. The driver told dispatch that other drivers were honking at the cement truck in attempt to alert him to pull over. The cement truck pulled over and began attempting to extinguish the fire. The road was temporarily shut down in both directions. The Boerne FD was called and successfully extinguished the fire.
1:37 p.m., 37000 Blk E I-10 – A caller reported a male in his parked truck who appeared to be drunk. It may have been 5 o’clock somewhere but not here!
MARCH 21
1:38 a.m., 543 MM E I-10 – A routine traffic stop turned into a search for alcoholic beverages in the vehicle. The right lane of the access road was temporarily blocked. One of the occupants of the vehicle was detained.
8:16 a.m., School/W I-10 – A caller reported a parked 18-wheeler was blocking the roadway. It was found that the driver was asleep.
9:38 a.m., 100 Blk Old San Antonio Rd – A passionately disgruntled male was yelling in the lobby of a location and waving his arms around. After ranting for around 30 minutes, the male stated he was leaving to go to the Sheriff’s Office to report his disapproval of a deputy’s driving habits.
1:13 p.m., 200 Blk Charger – A bat was reported to be flying around one of the buildings.
6:13 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – A male was detained after being pulled over for a routine traffic stop and a subsequent probable cause search.
10:24 p.m., 1300 Blk S Main – A two-vehicle head on collision occurred. Both vehicles remained in the intersection and the intersection was temporarily closed down. One of the occupants had a head laceration. Dispatch noted that two occupants appeared drunk. In one of the vehicles, three open bottles of liquor were found in the driver’s side panel and an additional, larger bottle was found in the back seat.
MARCH 15
12:19 a.m., 543 MM W I-10 – A caller reported an international 18-wheeler recklessly driving. The driver was reportedly swerving dangerously in an out of traffic. The vehicle was pulled over by law enforcement at which point the driver exited the vehicle and attempted to flee. Law enforcement located the subject and took them into custody.
8:44 a.m., FM 1376/Indian Knoll Dr – A caller reported they were pulling a mobile home, got on the incorrect road and could not figure out how to turn around. Law enforcement assisted the driver in getting back on the correct road.
8:58 a.m., 100 Blk Idlewilde Blvd – A resident called in to report a neighbor coming over to the resident’s house and threatening him and his wife. There were ongoing issues regarding the neighbor’s pet coming into the resident’s yard.
12:37 p.m., 400 Blk FM 474 – A caller reported a small chihuahua on the road – talk about a terror on the loose!
5:52 p.m., 10000 Blk North Creek Rd – A caller reported two cows in an udder-ly deep conversation.
MARCH 16
1:55 a.m., 100 Blk Cordillera Ridge – A concerned resident reported a vehicle they found to be suspicious. The vehicle parked in close proximity to the entrance of the neighborhood and turned off their headlights. The resident spoke with the driver and discovered the occupants were looking up directions.
10:53 a.m., Oak Trail – A caller reported someone was breaking into his house. Both of the caller’s residential alarms had been set off, the security camera had been dismantled, and tire marks had been left in the driveway. Law enforcement arrived to investigate the scene.
11:30 p.m., 1200 Blk FM 474 – A caller reported their neighbors had started a controlled burn but the wind had since picked up and the caller was unable to make contact with the neighbors. Boerne FD was called to the scene and successfully extinguished the brush piles.
MARCH 17
2:32 a.m., 545 MM E I-10 – A driver reported a parked car, with its lights on, in the right lane of the interstate. Law enforcement was unable to locate the vehicle.
2:43 a.m., Doeskin Dr – A caller reported that he had been punched by his roommate who had been drinking. The caller refused any medical treatment. The roommate was taken into custody.
2:03 p.m., 100 Blk N Stonegate – A caller reported that while she was attempting to deliver mail, a male came out and began yelling and recording her. The male was also making threats to the caller.
4:47 p.m., 200 Blk N Esser – A caller reported hearing three gunshots in the area.
10:31 p.m., Sattler Rd/FM 473 – A single vehicle accident occurred. The vehicle flipped over and hit a utility pole. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and the caller reported he appeared to be okay but medics were still called to the scene. A wrecker was required for the vehicle.
10:45 p.m., 525 MM W I-10 – A driver was reported to be going the wrong direction on the interstate. The caller made contact with law enforcement after the driver and caller were almost in a head on collision. Law enforcement attempted to make contact with the driver and located the vehicle in a ditch. It appeared the driver had fallen asleep behind the wheel. Medical helicopter assistance was not an option as a result of the weather conditions.
March 18 12:23 a.m., 539MM E I-10 – A concerned driver reported a vehicle towing two other vehicles on the interstate. The driver was concerned about traffic conditions because the vehicle was going approximately half the speed limit.
10:33 a.m., 500 Blk Crabapple Rd – A caller reported that his neighbor had put a camera on the gate. The caller told dispatch that he suspected his neighbor of poaching.
2:34 p.m., 100 Blk Mountain View Trail – A caller reported a vehicle they found suspicious. The vehicle was temporarily parked on a vacant lot, next to the caller’s house, for around 15 minutes.
7:49 p.m., 200 Blk Ammann Rd – A caller reported a vacant vehicle with out-of-state license plates that had been parked on the side of the road. The vehicle was given notice to move their vehicle.
8:48 p.m., 200 Blk Woodland Blvd – A former-tenant reported the homeowner had begun harassing her via text message. The former-tenant has not stayed at the residence since December; however, was receiving disparaging messages about her stay there.
9:14 p.m., 600 Blk N Waring-Welfare Rd – A driver reported 10 cattle that had escaped to enjoy an evening adventure. One of them had very politely (or possibly rudely) closed the gate behind to keep the rest of the cattle there.
10:35 p.m., 600 Blk E Hwy 46 – A transformer was reported to be on fire. It was sparking but no flames had formed yet. The Bergheim FD was called to manage the situation. The appropriate electrical companies were contacted.
March 19 12:14 a.m., 30000 Blk W I-10 – A security company reported an individual on the property who was not supposed to be there. The caller told dispatch that the individual was dressed in all black and they could not identify the gender, age or race.
1:55 a.m., Resort Way – A caller reported her designer purse had been stolen when she was in the reception hall of the location.
2:24 p.m., 525 MM W I-10 – A caller reported an angry driver swerving all over the road. The caller reported that when he had pulled up next to angry driver, the driver gave the caller the finger.
3:59 p.m., 200 Blk Doeskin Dr – A concerned caller reported a dog who was running around the neighborhood. The dog was not aggressive, but the caller was worried they may get hit by a passing vehicle.
6:45 p.m., Dietz Elkhorn/I-10 – A two vehicle hit and run accident occurred. One of the vehicles drove off. One of the occupants in the remaining vehicle, who was a minor, complained of injuries.
11:33 p.m., Hwy 87/Inspiration Loop – A truck rolled over and caught on fire. The caller reported that no one had exited the vehicle. Another caller reported that the fire had spread to the surrounding grass and trees. Local fire departments were called to the scene. The driver was successfully extracted from the vehicle. The accident was recorded as being a DWI and the driver was taken into custody.
March 20 8:28 a.m., Scenic Loop Rd – A resident was calling to report activity at their neighbor’s property. The resident told dispatch that the property owner had passed away and vehicle had been abandoned in the property.
10:57 a.m., 1400 Blk FM 1376 – A cow who had eaten too much at brunch was just standing in the middle of the road, causing a potential traffic issue.
2:32 p.m., 2000 Blk FM 1376 – A caller reported that while she was transporting her bull, he got out of the trailer and was roaming around the road. The caller noted to dispatch she could not get the bull back.
5:06 p.m., Blanco/Saunders – A two-vehicle accident occurred. There were no significant injuries reported. The Boerne FD had to be contacted as a result of fluids leaking on the road. Both vehicles were moved out of the incoming traffic without issue.
9:49 p.m., Cordillera Trace/Indian Bluff – Multiple callers called in to report a vehicle that hit a tree. The driver called in and told dispatch she swerved and lost control. The driver was not entrapped but reported several serious injuries. The driver was taken to a hospital for medical attention.
March 21 7:38 a.m., 200 Blk S FM 3351 – A vehicle accident occurred involving an 18-wheeler overturning. The Bergheim FD was contacted due to an oil spill in the ditch. TxDOT was contacted due to the amount of debris in the road.
7:52 a.m., 524 MM E I-10 – A twovehicle accident occurred involving a vehicle rolling over. One of the occupants informed law enforcement that the accident had occurred four hours prior to when it was called in. The owner of the vehicle told law enforcement that she was asleep when the driver side swiped an unknown object.
9:27 a.m., 500 Blk Sunflower – A caller reported a shirtless male walking through a field with a backpack. The caller had spoken with the male who told her that he had been in a car accident and abandoned his vehicle. The caller stated the male had said he was going to walk to a local gas station. Law enforcement was unable to locate the male.
11:09 a.m., N Hwy 87 – A caller reported that someone had used one of his bank cards and gotten over $700 in fuel.
12:39 p.m., 300 Blk Waring Welfare - A caller reported fraudulent charges on her credit card.
2:08 p.m., 100 Blk Madrone Trail – A builder reported building materials that had been stolen from a building site.
