Tax Assistance a Success!

The fine folks at AARP have been helping federal taxpayers file their returns for more than a month now, and we’re heading down the home stretch. The knowledgeable volunteers have assisted nearly 800 taxpayers! The appointments for this free service are basically all full. We’ve offered free tax service at the library for nearly 20 years, and we’re so grateful to all the AARP volunteers for donating their valuable time and expertise helping thousands of people.

Conversation Café

Janis Fuchs, who used to lead our “Soul Salon” group, has started a new discussion group called “Conversation Café.” The meeting will take place on Wednesday March 29, at noon during which time they will view and discuss a TED Talk called “Why Joy is a State of Mind.” Coffee will be served, and bring a sack lunch or snacks if you like.
