Austin Achieve played the Greyhounds close for a while and Boerne only held a 1-0 lead at halftime, but the Boerne pulled away in the second half and outscored the Polar Bears 6-2 for the 7-2 win.

The Boerne girls soccer team breezed past the Polar Bears of Austin Achieve Friday night in Marble Falls as part of a doubleheader with the boys team.

SAN MARCOS – For the second straight year, the Champion girls soccer team faced Georgetown in the opening round of the 5A playoffs and for the second consecutive season, the Lady Chargers shut out the Eagles.

There have been some great pitchers that have played at Boerne High and Boerne Champion over the years, but there hasn’t been anybody that can throw the ball as hard as Greyhound hurler Cole Phillips.

The Champion baseball team’s hot streak continued last weekend after the Chargers picked up two more district wins.

Central Catholic scored the game-winning run Friday night against the Boerne baseball team with a single run in the 10th inning.
