There have been some close games between the Champion and Kerrville Tivy boys basketball teams over the years but that wasn’t the case Tuesday.

After a week off the Boerne High boys basketball returned to action with a road game against the Young Men’s Leadership Academy in San Antonio.

Boerne ISD has five football players selected to participate in Saturday’s San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game in the Alamodome.

The Boerne Champion girls cross country team had several athletes earn postseason awards after t heir silver-medal performance at last fall’s 5A state cross country meet.

Geneva School of Boerne alumni returned to campus last Dec. 27 for the annual Alumni Basketball Game. 

Soccer season is underway for the Boerne ISD soccer teams, while Geneva soccer has already logged some matches.

The Comfort Bobcats hosted La Vernia on Tuesday night and fell to the Bears, 54-37. Comfort is 13-8 overall and hosts Davenport on Friday.

The Boerne Champion boys basketball team closed out 2021 with a record-setting performance by one of its players Friday when the Chargers hosted Seguin.

Boerne Champion won its fifth district game in a row in girls basketball, defeating Seguin on the road last Friday afternoon to close out 2021.

The Comfort girls basketball team hosted the Comfort Deer Classic to close out 2021 and posted a 2-2 record at its own tournament.

Comfort High played in the Nixon-Smiley Tournament last weekend and posted a 1-3 mark at the event.
