The Boerne Champion girls cross country team had several athletes earn postseason awards after t heir silver-medal performance at last fall’s 5A state cross country meet.
Kate Williams was named a 2021-22 Cross Country Legacy All-Star by the Texas Girls Coaches Association and was one of only 20 5A-6A runners from around the state selected.
Josey Whitaker was named a 2021 Cross Country All-Star by the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Only 24 runners from 5A-6A are selected and runners must be juniors to be selected and are nominated by their coaches.
Also, for the Lady Chargers, Kynley Albright, Chachi Gonzales, Josey Whitaker and Kate Williams were named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A All-State Cross-Country Team.
Boerne High
Four Boerne High cross-country runners were recently named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State Teams. Guadalupe Barrera, Hailey Hague, Ashlyn Moore and Annalie Scheidt were 4A all-state selections. Runners must be seniors and have a GPA of 94 or higher.
