Lady Chargers win 5th straight district game

Boerne Champion won its fifth district game in a row in girls basketball, defeating Seguin on the road last Friday afternoon to close out 2021.

With the 50-26 victory over Seguin, the Lady Chargers are 18-5 overall and 5-1 in district. They host Kerrville Tivy Tuesday as they continue 26-5A action.

Madyson Marquard shot it well from the outside and knocked down six 3-pointers on her way to 24 points, while Khiara Flugence added 8 points.

Emily Plank also hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 6 points, Adriana Barreiro made three 2-pointers to also finish with 6 points, Kristen Borgerding netted 3 points. Of the 8 points that Flugence scored, half were at the line as she went 4 of 6 in foul shots.
