The Bobcats are 13-7 overall and host La Vernia Tuesday as they continue non-district action.

Comfort defeated Hallettsville Sacred Heart to open the tourney, 49-41.

Tucker Weyel led the team with 17 points, Eli Gilliland added 11, Santos Hernandez scored 9, Tony Ybarra had 5, Terick Rodriguez scored 4, Adolfo Campos had 3 and Luis Martinez netted 2.

Up next, the Cats lost to host Nixon-Smiley, 65-36.

Tucker Weyel against paced the squad with 14 points, Eli Gilliland chipped in with 8, Terick Rodriguez had 5, Santos Hernandez scored 4, Luis Martinez netted 3 and Justin Gonzalez had 2.

Comfort dropped its next game to Navarro in a close one, 41-37. The Cats were leading 33-22 when the contest entered the fourth but were outscored in the final quarter, 19-4.

Luis Martinez had team-high honors with 14 points, Tucker Weyel added 7, Santos Hernandez scored 6, Eli Gilliland netted 5, Issac Duran scored 3 and Terick Rodriguez hit for 2.

In its final contest, Yorktown defeated the Bobcats, 45-40. Again, Comfort let a fourth-quarter lead slip away. They were up 29-26 but were outscored in the final period, 19-11.

Tucker Weyel netted 17 to lead the Cats, Santos Hernandez added 8, Luis Martinez scored 7, Adolfo Campos and Issac Duran both scored 3 and Terick Rodriguez had 2.
