Earlier this month, Kronkosky Place received a $75,000 check from the Kendall County Commissioners Court to purchase a new handicap-accessible van to continue to provide transportation for seniors. The funding was part of the American Rescue Plan Act which was allocated to Kendall County. Kronkosky Place is an activity center that provides an environment for anyone age 55 and up to participate in leisurely and engaging activities. The transportation program has been an ongoing lifeline for many seniors in the community. KPlace transportation facilitates rides for seniors to and from the center to the grocery store, doctors’ appointments and other essential errands in the local community and will now be able to assist those living with a disability.
