Boerne’s longest-lasting scout troop celebrates 100th year

BOERNE– Kendall Soil and Water Conservation District has partnered with the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB) and the Association of Texas Soil & Water Conservation Districts to highlight Soil and Water Stewardship Week and the importance of voluntary land stewardship in Texas. The statewide campaign is April 30 through May 7, 2023, and the focus this year is “One Water.”

The Boerne Independent School District will host The Boerne ISD Community Leadership Academy. The BISD CLA is open to citizens who wish to build their understanding of Boerne ISD.

BOERNE– The Patrick Heath Public Library is rolling out a new program aimed at helping families with young children access early learning materials and community resources.

BOERNE– St. Mark Presbyterian Church members and friends will gather in the parking lot at 208 W. Bandera Road after worship on April 30 (approximately 11:30 am) to dedicate Boerne’s third Little Free Pantry. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

From a young age we are taught 911 is the first number you call in an emergency, and that when you call, help will come. We often hear from youngsters as they try out this new piece of knowledge to see if it really works – only for them to quickly hang up when someone answers the call. When the police arrive, mom or dad quickly learn their child was verifying what they had learned.
