Knoll seeking re-election to constable post

Constable Paul Knoll has announced his candidacy for re-election as Constable Precinct 2.

Knoll has served as constable Precinct 2 since being elected in 2020. As constable, he is primarily responsible for bailiff duties, for executing a wide range of court orders, and for enforcing traffic laws.

Knoll has been working hard to protect children. He is very active in monitoring school buses before and after school to ensure that motorists do not pass a stopped bus. Over the span of his career, Constable Knoll has held various community and service-oriented positions that include firefighter, emergency medical technician, rescue squad, police investigator, police officer, traffic officer, fire/explosion investigator and safety officer.

While his experience across law enforcement, firefighting and emergency services is varied and extensive, his rare balance of people skills and technical know-how make him a sought-after resource by his peers, community and industry leaders alike.

In Kendall County he has built a reputation as a man of integrity, knowledge and a strong sense of service to community. A firefighter in the Bergheim Volunteer Fire Department, he currently volunteers in the capacity of lieutenant. He responds to over 50% of all BVFD calls, demonstrating his devotion to Kendall County residents and putting his personal values to work for the success of the team.

As a mentor, umpire and child advocate, he has helped to develop and support students, scouts and athletes strengthen their talents as they pursue their personal aspirations. Through meaningful interactions and engaged service he continues this work to this day.

He has received extensive recognition for his contributions to Kendall County, including BVFD Firefighter of the Year in 2017. In his free time, Paul enjoys beekeeping, spending time with his wife Susan of 39 years, training his dogs, and hunting. He is also a licensed private pilot and certified shotgun instructor.
