This past August, the Nest Nature School welcomed three classrooms full of excited 3- to 5-year-olds when the school opened its new campus at Herff Farm. As The Nest begins the enrollment season for the 2022-23 school year, the school will be opening its doors and hosting an open house on Saturday, February 5, to help interested families and community members get to know the school and its unique program a little better.

We kicked off our yearlong celebration of the library’s 70th anniversary by hosting two 1950s trivia programs.

The Geneva School of Boerne Fine Arts Department recently finished its production of “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.” This musical is the story of a young woman living with her stepmother and stepsisters who treat her like a servant girl, but her life changes at the prince’s royal ball.

Voters who go to the polls for municipal and school board elections on May 7 will also be asked to decide on two proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution.

As we enter 2022, we have a new planning process for the city of Boerne. While our budget cycle is from October through September, we start planning for the next cycle in January of each year.

As I sit here in my office at my computer, it’s sometimes difficult to fathom I’ve been pounding the keys of a typewriter or keyboard professionally for about 39 years.

No doubt you’ve seen the flocks of campaign signs around town – a sure sign that an election is imminent. Both the Democratic and Republican parties will hold primary elections on Tuesday, March 1. Early voting runs from February 14-25.

Geneva School of Boerne has named its 2022 valedictorian and salutatorian. These graduating seniors will deliver addresses during the Geneva commencement exercises in May.
