Texans desiring to harvest their own meals, improve on or a learn a new skill and take part in outdoor adventures can do just that through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) Community Archery Program. “Bowhunter by Fall” is a series of monthly and bi-monthly e-newsletters filled with videos and clips, giving archers the skills to travel from behind the keyboard to behind the bow just in time for the fall hunting season.

The Boerne Independent School District has named the Athletic Hall of Honor Class of 2022 inductees. This year’s recipients are Bradley Suttle (baseball), Jeff Voight (basketball), Matt Toohey (golf), Jaclyn (Toohey) Yarbrough (volleyball) and Marla (Troester) McDonald (golf), as well as Harry Fish earning the Bill Canavan Memorial Benefactor Award.

Two Boerne ISD athletes will play in the College World Series set to begin this weekend in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Boerne Champion girls soccer team recently held its annual awards ceremony in the school auditorium where several team awards were handed out. 

At its end-of-year athletic awards ceremony, Comfort High named its male and female athletes of the year.

Boerne Champion had a total of eight softball players recognized as all-district by the 26-5A coaches.

Boerne Champion’s Jesse Peart recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Dallas North Lake College. 

For the second straight year, the Boerne Greyhounds athletic program has won the Dan Cook Cup as the overall top rated high school sports program in the greater San Antonio area.
