Greyhounds named top athletic program

For the second straight year, the Boerne Greyhounds athletic program has won the Dan Cook Cup as the overall top rated high school sports program in the greater San Antonio area.

For the second straight year, the Boerne Greyhounds athletic program has won the Dan Cook Cup as the overall top rated high school sports program in the greater San Antonio area.

In addition, the back to-back Class 4A state champion Boerne boys soccer team was named the best team in the area, while Champion Charger diver Emma Haines was named Girls Diver of the Year.

The awards were presented at the Alamo City High School Sports Awards banquet.

Boerne earned a state soccer championship and earned state final four berths in boys basketball and girls soccer, as well as deep playoff runs in other sports.
