A 21-year-old man lost his arm in a commercial trucking accident late last month when the driver of a sanitation truck, with the fellow employee standing on the back of the unit, backed the truck into a tree, pinning the man’s arm.

Chargers football hosts kickoff dinner

The Champion football program began practice this week and held its annual kickoff dinner Tuesday at the Dog & Pony Grill. Because of the size of the program, there were two sessions with the freshman first, followed by the JV/ Varsity later in the evening. The Chargers scrimmage next week as they prepare for the season opener on Aug. 26 at home against Laredo United South.
