The Champion water polo teams had the chance to test their skills against somebody else after the Chargers scrimmaged at Alamo Heights on Tuesday.
The Champion boys won 14-9 over the Mules while the Lady Chargers put up a hard-fought match against the Lady Mules but lost, 21-9.
Up next for the Chargers is a match that counts in the standings. It’s the district opener at the Northside ISD Natatorium on Saturday, Aug. 27 when they play Clark and Brandeis in a doubleheader.
The girls play the Cougars at 10 a.m. and the boys are in the water at 11 a.m. The Brandeis matches start at 2 p.m. with the girls first, followed by the boys at 3 p.m.
All the district matches for the Chargers this year are against Northside ISD schools and will be played at the NISD Natatorium.
