Congratulations to several artists who participated in Boerne Art Waddle 2022. While it was a bit toasty outside, the Cibolo Creek Trail made a lovely backdrop for activities of the day.

Possessions: There are buying dilemmas
Possessions: There are buying dilemmas

It’s once again time to turn the tassels

We’re just around the corner from one of my favorite things to attend and publish in The Boerne Star, and being as blessed as I am I get to do it twice on back-toback nights.

Highest rating for visual arts

Boerne High School freshmen Mykala Jones, right, and Brayden Gardner recently attended the Visual Arts Scholastic Event at San Marcos High School and earned the highest rating of 4 and gold medals for their artwork. Jones also received the $1,000 Dr. Jim Henderson Memorial Scholarship. The Hendersons founded VASE in 1994, and Mrs. Henderson personally chose Jones’ painting out of the 950 state medalists to earn the scholarship scholarship. Starting with 30,643 artwork entries statewide, narrowing to 1,974 state qualifiers for the state VASE event, there were a total of 950 pieces with a 4 state rating to earn gold medals. Circumstances with husband’s affair

Q: My husband had an affair with another woman. It’s over now, I genuinely believe he’s truly sorry, and we’re working toward reconciliation. But as a somewhat embarrassing practical consideration – should he be tested for sexually transmitted infections (STI) and diseases?

Library continues special anniversary year

The 1950s often are portrayed as a time of youthful exuberance and post-World War II suburbia happiness as the economic engine continued to hum along. And it was, of course, a magical time of growing up for those who are now in or approaching their eighth decade of circling the sun.
