I started out my July article with the following: “Well, we’ve certainly had awful skies this entire spring, awful for astronomy, that is. I love it when it rains, and we had a lot of rain in April, May, and early June. However, that has meant very few nights of clear skies.”

Boerne ISD fires up employees for start of school
Van Raub Elementary School employees erupt in cheers when the school is mentioned during the Boerne ISD’s annual Convocation, a pre-start of school gathering of all employees. Champion High School theater director Israel Aviles joined Boerne ISD Athletic Director Stan Leech, Director of Communications Bryan Benway in giving the event a sporty, play-by-play feel, energizing its school staffs before the Aug. 10 return of students.
