Q: Should husbands and wives have regular activities apart from each other with their friends of the same sex? I get out with some girlfriends two or three times a year and that’s plenty for me; I’d rather spend most of my time with my husband. But he likes to get together with his guy friends a couple of times each month. What are your thoughts?

In preparation for celebrating Easter on April 17, St. Mark Presbyterian Church invites Boerne residents to stop by the cross erected in front of the facility at 208 W. Bandera Road and leave a written prayer. Supplies are in a plastic tub secured at the base of the cross. All prayers are welcome – prayers for peace and fairness for all people and in all countries; for those who are sick, hungry, lonely or poor; for the cities and neighborhoods where we live; for all God’s creatures; for clean air, water and soil; and for the work of the whole church to show and tell the good news of Jesus. Q: My fiance and I are getting married in two months. We’re excited, but also a little concerned about weathering and adapting to the ups and downs that everybody tells us will come over the years. Do you have any advice?

Q: We’ve just discovered that our 16-year-old daughter and her boyfriend have been sexually active for a few months. That’s not how we raised her and we’re very concerned. How can we address this issue without alienating our girl?

Q: My wife and I often feel overwhelmed by “life stuff.” I think we spend so much time and energy in our roles as Mom and Dad that we neglect our own relationship. Is it just a case of recognizing that our needs as a couple have to be put on hold until our kids are older and less demanding?
