The Geneva track and field program qualified three individuals for this year’s TAPPS 4A state meet scheduled for this weekend.

Comfort High had two athletes race at last weekend’s Region I-3A track and field meet held in Abilene.

Champion boys win regional track and field title

The Boerne High softball team clashed with two opponents last Friday in their first-round played game that took place in Marion.

The Comfort softball team may have been the No. 1 seed out of District 5-3A but they had to battle tooth and nail in order to defeat the No. 4 seeded Jim Ned from District 6-3A in their first-round playoff series last week.

The Geneva School of Boerne golf teams placed second and third at the recent regional meet to both advance to the TAPPS state tournament being held this week.

Wimberley played the Boerne High baseball team tough to close out the regular season last week, but the Greyhounds were able to record a couple of two-run wins against the Texans.

The Champion baseball team closed out the regular season on a three-game win streak and in the process the Chargers secured a playoff spot and wrapped up third place in 26-5A.

HELOTES – Boerne High twin brothers Sam and Jess Gonzales capped their high school tennis careers as state champions and also cemented their legacies as the two most decorated athletes in Greyhounds history.
