The Geneva School of Boerne volleyball team went up against some stiff competition at last weekend’s Boerne ISD tournament last Friday and Saturday.
The Eagles didn’t manage a win at the event but still put up quite an effort and battled against the teams they faced.
Geneva is 3-9-2 overall and is scheduled to host its own tournament this weekend, dubbed the Tourney in Boerne.
The Eagles opened the tourney on Friday with a 25-7, 25-8 loss to JB Alexander from Laredo.
Later in the day, Geneva fell to Flour Bluff, 25-20, 25-12 and in its final match Friday, Geneva played Bowie tough but fell to the Austin school, 25-16, 25-10.
Geneva returned on Saturday and put up quite a fight with Providence before fall in three sets to the Provets, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21.
Up next, the Eagles took on Blanco and was tripped up in two sets, 25-19, 25-20 before they closed it out with a three-set loss to Hondo, 21-25, 25-14, 25-22.
