The Boerne High tennis team split its two matches played last Saturday in Boerne.

BHS hosted Brennan and Flour Bluff and beat the Bears with an impressive comeback and then were stung by the Hornets.

Boerne was trailing Brennan 3-8 at one point, but the Hounds went on to win seven straight matches to claim the 10-8 victory over the Bears.

Later in the day, Boerne took on the No. 18 ranked 5A Hornets and put up a good fight but fell to the Corpus Christi school, 10-9.

Boerne drops to 1-2 this year and was scheduled to host Kerrville Tivy Tuesday but that match was called after BHS coach Tyson Stewart said he had to cancel it because it would have meant the Greyhounds would have played too many matches this week since they are entered in a tournament this weekend.

BHS will play Friday at the NISD Tournament starting against Del Rio, 10:30 a.m.
