Fair Oaks Ranch Mayor Greg Maxton gave a long-awaited presentation to the countywide Kendall County, Boerne and Fair Oaks Transportation Committee Tuesday, where he said FOR supports the development of a regional thoroughfare plan, proposed transportation solutions and addressed the development he expects to hit the Hill Country.

The annual Kendall County Junior Livestock Show is going on this week at the youth agriculture and equestrian center near Comfort as boys and girls of all ages compete and show off their prize animals. On Monday, pigs took center stage as barrow and gilt varieties were paraded around the arena. 

The nominations are in as the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce prepares for its annual gala, scheduled for Saturday, January 22, at the Cana Ballroom. The theme for the evening is “Come one, come all.”

The Boerne Family YMCA will play host to its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Walk from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, January 17. The event starts at Main Plaza in downtown Boerne, advances along Main Street to River Road, then returns to Main Plaza.
