28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen coming to Main and Market

Boerne’s brewing and restaurant scene keeps growing, and the latest addition coming in spring 2023 is keeping the ball rolling on both fronts. The planned 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen will be the first brewery on North Main Street and owners vow to have something for everyone’s tastes. The plan is to have 28 taps with a mix of housemade beers and guest taps, but the goal is to eventually have a wide variety of 28 of their own beers on, said Don Kretz, a managing partner in the enterprise and a homebrewer for 25 years.

Lower Property Tax Rate, Improved Safety

The City of Boerne’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2023 was unanimously approved by City Council during first reading at the Sept. 13 council meeting. The final vote on the proposed budget will take place at the Sept. 27 council meeting.

BISD announces new parent education series

The Boerne Independent School District has announced the next discussion topic in the new Parent Education Speaker Series. The event, titled Cyber Danger, will take place 6-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Champion High School and will focus on the dangers of the online community that students face. All Boerne ISD parents, students and community members are invited to attend.
