Jacob Christopher Marshall, Jr. (Jay) passed away on April 29, 2023 at the age of 90. Visitation was held Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Holt & Holt Funeral Home, located at 319 East San Antonio Avenue in Boerne, TX. A memorial service followed at Holt & Holt Funeral Home on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM.

The Boerne ISD German program hosted the 2023 German Spelling Bee – Bezirksbuchstabiene. Voss Middle School’s Ximena Diaz was the overall first-place Grand Champion, with Boerne’s Hailey Muir, and Savannah Austin placing second and third, respectively.
