Texas and Kendall County voters overwhelmingly approved the two constitutional amendments that appeared on the May 7 ballot. In both cases, a majority vote was needed for passage.

The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization played host to a meeting at Kronkosky Place on Monday, and the growth hitting the Hill Country may lead to the organization reaching further into the “rural” areas of the county.

Early voting targeting the two Boerne Independent School District bond propositions, the one BISD board of trustees race and the pair of state constitutional amendments produced a 7.3 percent area turnout, according to information from the Kendall County Elections Office.

Along with a growth boom like Kendall County is experiencing comes increased crime, and the juvenile courts are seeing the same growth trajectory.
