State qualifiers

The cast and crew of Champion High School Theatre’s One-Act Play, “He Who Gets Slapped,” recently qualified for the 2022 UIL state meet. The Chargers placed first at the Regional Competition last Saturday at Southwest High School to advance to state competition. Champion also earned several individual honors at the regional event. They are All-Star Crew Member, Nadya Rodriguez; honorable mention All- Star Cast, D.J. Bohman in the role of “The Gentleman;” All Star Cast, Jacqueline Nevarez in the role of “Consuelo;” Best Performer, Weston Eades in the role of “He.” Champion will compete at the State One-Act Play contest on Friday, May 6, in Round Rock.
