The city of Boerne received a 2022 Award of Honor at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers Conference in Houston in June. Of the 11 categories, Boerne was recognized for Public Service Announcement, population under 100,000 people.
The award was given in recognition of the city’s efforts to educate and inform residents of the recently created Stormwater Utility, information from the city of Boerne stated.
“By utilizing traditional communication tools and social media, and by creating a distinct video and hashtag, the endeavor led to a well-informed citizen base,” the information stated.
