Good tidings, dear reader. I come to you today from the netherworld, a fleeting, flickering phantasm.

The Cibolo is ever expanding the experiences and opportunities to connect with nature and each other. We are delighted to be bringing more programming to the Cibolo’s second campus, Herff Farm, for the creatives in our community.

When I first received my driver’s license back in the days when I had a thick head of hair and had to start paying for my own gasoline, it was 55.9 cents per gallon. I remember that distinctively as I saw my hardearned money rolling away as the numbers on the pump spun rapidly like the wheels of a slot machine.

A lady walked up to me, leaned over, and with a smile whispered in my ear, “Now you can say whatever you want!”

The Boerne Concert Band will present an Independence Day celebration concert on Sunday, July 3, at Main Plaza. The music is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

American television personality Uncle Si, best known for his role on the Duck Dynasty series, is scheduled to make an appearance in Comfort over the July 4 holiday weekend. From noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, he will be at Apache Rifleworks, 50502 Interstate 10 West.

Steven Harris has lived in Texas for most of his life. His creativity is most influenced by the Texas Hill Country and Gulf Coast. While he has painted in other places, the rocky terrain, clear streams and vistas in Central Texas and the beaches, bays and inland marshes along the Gulf Coast, in his words, “speak to me.”

The city of Boerne is scheduled to host its annual Independence Day fireworks show on Monday, July 4, at City Park. The show will begin 30 minutes after sunset, which should be about 8:40 p.m. That means the fireworks should start at about 9:15 p.m., information from the city stated.
