A dinner and installation ceremony introduced the Rotary Club of Boerne’s new leadership as Jack Estes, 2022- 23 president; Joe Anzollitto, president elect; and Susie Smith as the vice president.

The Texas Department of State Health Services has received and distributed 14,780 doses of the monkey pox vaccine to local health departments and DSHS regional offices. Another 27,000 doses could be made available by the Strategic National Stockpile.

Throughout the year, the Patrick Heath Public Library has had great fun celebrating our 70th anniversary with a variety of fun activities for people of all ages. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, Meals for Vets will be at Veteran Canteen Services located inside the Kerrville VA Hospital.

From July 14-16, five Kendall County Democrats attended the 2022 Texas Democratic Convention in Dallas. Throughout the event, leading state Democrats shared their vision of how to create a more equitable and stronger Texas.

The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce is comprised of all different types of businesses, but many may not know that we have more than 130 nonprofit members. These members do so much to enrich and serve our community, and we are looking forward to celebrating them in August.

With cryptocurrencies so much in the news, you might be wondering if you should invest in them. But “invest” may not be the right word – because, in many ways, cryptocurrencies, or “crypto” for short, are more speculation than investment.
