When you invest, you incur risk – there’s no avoiding it. But the concept of “risk” may be more expansive than you realized. And by understanding the different types of investment risk and how these risks can be addressed, you can improve your skills as an investor.

The cities of Boerne and Fair Oaks Ranch have uncontested city council seat races so far but filing for a place on the ballot will run through Feb. 18.

This March, we are excited to host our annual three-day Spring Break Camp at the Cibolo, where children can connect with nature while learning and exploring the 160 acres of the Cibolo Nature Center and Herff Farm.

The Boerne Independent School District announced Boerne’s Best Distinguished Alumni Class of 2022 inductees. This year’s honorees are Michelle Beadle (BHS ’94), Joseph A. Bergmann (BHS ‘63), Rachel Seewald (BHS ’88) and Robert “Rob” Bradley (BHS ’80) with the Benefactor Award being presented to Carol Mathews.

New Year’s Day is weeks past, horns and fluted glasses gone the way of Christmas lights and baubles. But for those of Asian heritage, a glorious celebrate awaits – Asian New Year, also known as the Spring Festival.

Less than a week remains before the Jan. 31 deadline to register to vote in the March 1 primary.
