YMCA TURKEY TROT: The 13th annual 5k/10k Turkey Trot gets under way at 8 a.m. with 5K, 1K and a onemile walk. The Trot starts on the west side of Main Plaza and runs through paved and quiet neighborhoods. This is a competitively timed 5K/10K race, with recognition for winners. Register: athleteguild.com.
BLUEGRASS JAM: Bring your instrument and play along or just come to listen to the Bluegrass Jams from 11 am. to 1 p.m. at The AgriCultural Center and Art Museum, 102 City Park Road, Boerne. The event is free; donations are welcome.

DICKENS ON MAIN: Join the fun as Boerne’s Hill Country Mile transforms into a vintage Christmas experience, with non-stop entertainment from noon to 10 p.m. with various holiday “villages” set up throughout the venue. The celebration’s main attractions include live music and performances, visits with Santa Claus, ice sculpting shows and children’s take-home crafts.
