Both the Geneva School of Boerne and Comfort volleyball teams played district matches towards the end of last week and picked up wins.
The teams were at home for those matches after Geneva hosted Corpus Christi Incarnate Word and the Deer welcomed Brady.
The Deer and the Eagles were back in action Tuesday as they continued league play.
Comfort
The Deer snapped their two-game district skid and defeated the Brady Bulldogs in straight sets.
Comfort is 5-3 in district and in third place, one game behind second- place Blanco (6-2) and one game ahead of fourth-place Ingram (4-4).
The Deer were at Florence Tuesday before hosting Llano on Oct. 29 to end the regular season.
They are also scheduled to play Geneva in a non-district match this Friday.
Geneva
The Eagles won in straight sets over C.C. Incarnate Word and are 9-1 in district with two league games left on the schedule entering this week.
They were home Tuesday to host Bracken Christian Academy and then are on the road for their final two regular-season matches.
Geneva is at Castle Hills Thursday as they Eagles wrap up district play and then they visit Comfort Friday for a non-district contest.
