Both the Comfort and Geneva School of Boerne volleyball teams were in action last week.
Geneva played two matches, one of them a district match on Senior Night and the other was a non-district match against Johnson City, while the Deer tangled with Blanco in a district tussle last Friday.
The Eagles and the Deer resume district action this week.
Comfort
Comfort suffered only its second district loss of the year last Friday when they were swept by archrival Blanco last Friday.
The Panthers won the match 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.
Comfort stands at 18-13 overall and is 4-2 in district.
The Deer visit Ingram Tuesday and host Brady on Friday.
Geneva
The Eagles defeated New Braunfels Christian Academy last Thursday at home as they honored their three seniors.
Seniors on this year’s team are Chloe Caulfield, Kate Friesenhahn and Lily Flora.
Geneva won Thursday’s match in three sets and then played Johnson City on Friday in a non-district match and went five with the JC before losing.
Geneva is 8-1 in district and played Corpus Christi John Paul II on Tuesday before hosting the other Corpus Christi school, Incarnate Word on Thursday as they continue league action.
