MAY 11

TORERO: FLAMENCO DINNER Experience - Botero Tapas + Wine Bar (161 S. Main St.) and Barcelona Flamenco Ballet, present TORERO2024. The performers, including dancers, guitarists and singers, come together to create a captivating and dynamic spectacle that transports viewers to the heart of Spain. 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. times are available. $130 for two seats. BOERNE MARKET DAYS return for the first time in May, open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday on Main Plaza. Spend a day browsing the market; make a day of it by visiting the many downtown boutiques, galleries and restaurants for a unique hill country experience.

OLD JAIL MUSEUM tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kendall County Historic Jail, 208 E. San Antonio Ave. Constructed in 1887, it served for a century as the county jail. Admission: $5 adults; 10 and under and law enforcement tour for free. For details: 830-428-6191.

BLUEGRASS JAM: BRING your instrument and play along or just come from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to listen to the bluegrass jams while exploring the exhibits and grounds of The AgriCultural, 102 City Park Road in Boerne. The event is free to the public.

THE GREATER BOERNE Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. for Heather Stolle’s School of Dance, 113 Parkway, to celebrate their new location.

LIVE! AT THE Library for May will be The Gary Kyle Band, beginning at 7 p.m. in the amphitheater. The concert is free and open to the public. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, as the event is outdoors.

MAGICAL HISTORY TOUR: Join us for a history tour of Boerne City Park, featuring The Agricultural. Tour attendees will get a brief overview on the park’s development, followed by a tour of The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center. Meet at 10 a.m. in the parking lot next to the swimming pool. FAMILY NIGHT HIKE: Come out to the trails at Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Road, at sunset and discover the various living organisms that call the Cibolo home. Family Night Hikes are great ways for children and families to explore the Cibolo and see what lives in the park in the dark. The hike will go from 8-9:30 p.m.; $30 per family. BOERNE BOCK WALK: Take a stroll through the breweries of Boerne with the annual Boerne Bock Walk. Each brewery will have their own Maibock-style beer on tap. The walk starts at noon at Dodging Duck, then proceeds to Cibolo Creek Brewing Co., followed by Free Roam Brewing Co., and ends at Hamby’s first-year anniversary party. HOPE FOR HEROES Gala: Exclusive event hosted at The Kendall, 128 W. Blanco Road, that will be a tribute to local heroes. Proceeds go to a daycare assistance fund and a mental health foundation. US MILITARY ACADEMIES Student Panel: Boerne and Champion high school graduates have been invited for a panel discussion on “Why a military service academy?
