Poem captures hope, cheer of Christmas

THE BOOKWORM KWORM E

Let Your Heart Grow Young by Constance Andrea Keremes Let your heart grow young at Christmas, Care and sorrow melt away.

Listen for a child’s laughter, From some long-past yesterday.

Harken back to feathery snowflakes, Whispering softly through the night, Listen for the harness jingle, Feel the North Wind’s playful bite. Taste the peppermints and chocolates, Gingerbread and sugarplums, Hear the gladsome yuletide carols, And the rum-pa-tum of drums.

Deck the halls once more with holly, Set the old Yule log aglow, Gladly seek the Star of Wonder, As you did once long ago.

Let us all grow young at Christmas, Brimming full of hope and cheer, May we keep the joyous wonder, In our hearts throughout the year.

Merry Christmas.
