Boerne Champion graduate Luke Boyers recently played with the TCU baseball team at the Men’s College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

Boyers was a football, baseball and track standout while with the Chargers before graduating in the spring of 2020. Besides being a four-year letterman with the Champion baseball team, Boyers was the starting quarterback on the 13-2 Charger football team that played in the state semifinals and set school records for the most wins and deepest playoff run in the fall of 2019. Boyers was also a two-time district champion in the long jump and qualified for the state track and field meet one season.

After a stellar career with the Champion baseball team where he was named all-state his junior year, Boyers moved on to TCU where he was named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 in 2022. Boyers just completed his junior season at TCU and played in the outfield to help the Horned Frogs qualify for this year’s College World Series. They finished No. 5 nationally in the final NCAA rankings.
