Farmers Market at Herff Farm, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can buy products directly from local growers, ranchers, and crafters on a beautiful historic German farmstead in the Texas Hill Country. Explore our fenced gardens, pollinator meadow, and trails, and see the historic limestone Herff House. More information available at www.cibolo.org Second Saturday Teaching Garden Volunteering, Herff Farm, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Learn about organic gardening while helping us maintain our demonstration gardens at our Teaching Garden at the Herff Farm. Help us weed, water, use garden tools, and all the wonderful things that are needed to help maintain a beautiful organic garden. No experience is required. Register at www.cibolo.org Pride Walk, PHPL Amphitheater, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This local event is a visible show of solidarity for the LGBTQ+ community of people. Moreover, it commemorates years of struggle for civil rights and the ongoing pursuit of equal justice for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, as well as the accomplishments of LGBTQ+ individuals. This event is hosted and sponsored by Touchstone United Church of Christ (Boerne), PFLAG-Boerne, and Kaleidoscope Hearts Youth Connections.

Boerne Market Days, Boerne Main Plaza, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Spend a day browsing the market and visiting the many downtown boutiques, galleries and restaurants for a unique Hill Country experience. There are a variety of bargains to be found such as jewelry, plants, art, handcrafts, collectibles, antiques, and more!

Old Jail Museum Tours, The Old Jail Museum, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tour the Old Jail Museum and enjoy its unique exhibits! Tickets are $5 for adults, and children under 10, veterans and law enforcement are free! Kuhlmann-King Museum Tours, Kuhlmann-King Historical Complex, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Take a tour around the Kuhlmann- King property to step back in time!

Bluegrass Jam at The AgriCultural Museum, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Every second and fourth Saturdays of the month, bring your instrument and play along, or just come to listen to the Bluegrass Jam at The AgriCultural! (Formerly the Agricultural Heritage Museum) This event is free and open to the public.

The Bookshop Under the Windmill, next to PHPL Library, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Bookshop Under the Windmill is open Wed - Sat from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find some great books, magazines, and movies... all at great prices! The Bookshop is run by the Friends of the Boerne Public Library. Funds raised through the shop go back to the PHPL!

Summer Camp at the Cibolo!, Cibolo Nature Center, Hosted from June 05 to June 09. Join us for Quest at the Cibolo! Campers will explore the world of the nature at Nature Camp, Art Camp, or Culinary Camp. All activities will be held at the Cibolo Nature Center and Herff Farm where kids will have a chance to explore our 160+ acres.

Ribbon Cutting for Hill Country Toastmasters, The Center, 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join us a ribbon cutting celebrating Hill Country Toastmasters! Hill Country Toastmasters provides a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth. Hill Country Toastmasters is inviting chamber members to an “Open Mic” session on June 15th at 7 a.m., at The Center, to practice their elevator pitch where they will receive positive and constructive feedback to wow prospects at their next networking event.

Ribbon Cutting at LTO Ventures, 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Join a ribbon cutting celebrating LTO Ventures! LTO Ventures is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that develops affordable residential, integrated employment, and social engagement options for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Their 3 areas of focus are building their own communities, helping others build communities, and advocating for more options.

Art Beyond the Crayons – Session 1, Boerne YMCA, 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Art Beyond The Crayons is a mixed-media art class designed to allow children to work with a variety of mediums as well as give each child the opportunity to express themselves through art! $25 for members, $55 for non-members, and an additional supply fee.

Men’s Night at Free Roam Brewery, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The brewery is inviting men out to the beer garden once a month for some brews and inspirational speeches from a variety of guest speakers. This open invitation is for gentlemen aged 13 and up and is designed to provide a sense of community and camaraderie in a safe space where ‘guys can just be guys.’ Guests to the event can also enjoy a myriad of tasty food options provided by local food trucks as well as the brewery’s own libations throughout the evening.

The purpose of our group is to make sure that every Kendall County nonprofit leader is aware of what is happening in the community, reduce any silos of information and to create peer mentorship/collaboration.
