The Vic Vaughan Family Foundation (VVFF) has donated $50,000 to Love Kendall County Kids, allowing the organization to cover the entire budget for the following summer programs:

• Food 4 Kids Program which provides food for local children during nonschool periods, as well as local group homes for disadvantaged youth.

• Camps 4 Kids Program which provides camp scholarships for disadvantaged local youth to provide enrichment, social and physical activities.

The donation will also enable families to obtain much needed critical home repairs to ensure they have a safe and livable environment.

“This donation is going to make an enormous difference for the kids of Kendall County,” said Beth Webster, Love Kendall County Kids Board Chair. “Not only is this donation going to help with the Food 4 Kids Program, but it will also allow our organization to double the number of scholarships given to the children of Kendall County, allowing them to enroll in camps at places like Boerne Soccer Club, the Boys & Girls Club, Cibolo Nature Center, the YMCA, and many more. We are so grateful to the Vic Vaughan Family Foundation for truly understanding the needs of our community and improving the lives of children in Kendall County.”

Vic Vaughan, Founder of Vaughan Automotive, a family-owned company with Toyota dealerships in Boerne and Houston, formed the Vic Vaughan Family Foundation to give back to the community that continually supported him over the years.

The foundation has previously given $1500 to Hill Country Family Services and $50,000 to Hill Country Daily Bread, a Regional Resource Center located in Boerne, helping transform the lives of neighbors in poverty through fostering long-term, meaningful Christ-centered relationships.

“Our hope is that our contributions to local organizations will only continue to strengthen the wonderful community of Boerne,” said Vaughan. “I look forward to seeing the difference our donation makes for Love Kendall County Kids as well as the difference the Vic Vaughan Family Foundation makes going forward.”

As of 2022, Love Kendall County Kids has served 162,583 meals, provided 874 camp scholarships, repaired 62 homes, and provided 222 beds for children.

Love Kendall County Kids has the mission of helping children in Kendall County however they can. The organization is 100% volunteers and steps in during non-school periods to help fill the food gap.

They work in partnership with churches, businesses, schools and other groups to provide lunches, camp scholarships and additional year-round support to food-insecure children and families in the community.

Vic Vaughan Family Foundation exists to turn blessings into action by helping to end hunger in our local communities, support disadvantaged women and children, lift up our local government entities, and give back to military warriors.
